Alternate Instructions
Alternate instructions (no Hotsync cable)
We offer three alternatives for unlocking, depending on whether you have access to a
Secure Digital (SD) card or a computer with Bluetooth or IR communication ability.
If you need help, please read our frequently-asked questions page, or if your problem is not answered there, email us at support @650unlock.com.
Secure Digital (SD) card
For Treo 600/650, this only works for cards smaller than 2GB. For the Treo 680, this works on all SD cards.
- Make a folder named "PALM" on the card using Windows Explorer (or Finder on the Mac)
- Make a folder named "Launcher" under the "PALM" folder.
- Your card should now contain a folder under a folder in the tree: X:\PALM\Launcher
- Copy the unlocker-english.prc file to the Launcher folder
- Safely remove the card (using the eject menu or safely remove hardware icon)
- Place card in phone
- The phone should switch to the launcher view and show a card symbol
- You should see a program named "Treo Unlock" on the launcher screen.
- Run the program and get your unlock data
- Click here to continue with our normal instructions
Bluetooth (BT)
- Pair your phone with the computer using the correct bluetooth function
- Right-click the unlocker-english.prc file and select the "Send To" menu, followed by the "Bluetooth Device" menu item
- Accept the transfer on your phone
- When the transfer completes, locate the "Treo Unlock" program in your phone's launcher screen
- Run the program to get your unlock data
- Click here to continue with our normal instructions
InfraRed (IR) Port
- Right-click the unlocker-english.prc file and select the "Send To" menu, followed by the "InfraRed Device" menu item (might be named differently)
- Accept the transfer on your phone
